Dating southern girl

Like TimMcGraw said in his hit song “Southern Girl,” there's “nothin’ in the whole wideworld like a Southern girl.” They have the Southern accent down, cowboy bootsand dresses, and they know how to cook. But, there is more to Southern girlsthan just her Southern hospitality. 

Southern manners are a must.

If a girlwas raised in the South, her manners are impeccable. Wait for the “Yes ma’am”and “No sir” to start and start soon, along with plenty of please and thankyous.

She knows her sports.

Football,basketball, baseball, or NASCAR. It doesn’t matter the sport, she will know itand has probably played it. Feel free to watch a game or two with her, shedefinitely won’t mind!  

Haters gonna hate.

If she hasenemies, she silences them all with a simple “bless your heart.” As for otherpeople’s opinions of her, she could not care less.

 Dirt isn’t a four letter word.

Southerngirls may look prim and proper on the outside, but she is ready to get a jobdone if she needs too. And she probably will not be asking a man for helpeither.

She cleans up nicely.

Jeans andboots are the norm, but she also likes to dress up every once and awhile.Designers like Lily Pulitzer are God-like and no Southern girl can ever havetoo much pink, green, or blue printed anything in her closet.

Being high maintenance isn’t her thing.

Spendinghours in the bathroom may be routine for some, but not for a Southern girl.Hair up in a ponytail, t-shirt and shorts, and next to no makeup is more likeit.

The kitchen is always open.

She’llnever ever let anyone go hungry. She may not always pull out all the stops tomake fried chicken and biscuits, BUT that does not mean she can’t. Prepareyourself to be fed and fed often.

She’s always ready for a good time.

Wine,beer, whisky, mixed drinks, or moonshine, she drinks it all. Just do not askher to go drink for drink with you, you probably won’t win.

Loyalty goes a long way.

Southerngirls do not play around. Once they find something or someone they like, theydo not let it go. Ever.

She listens.

If youhave a problem, she will gladly lend an ear and give you advice. Warn her aheadof time if you do not want her true and honest opinion though, otherwise thatis exactly what you will get ever single time. 

Her heart is huge.

Southernwomen are one of the most loving women out there. Friendships are sacred andrelationships with her family are strong. If anything ever happens to her bestfriend or her mom, she will be out the door in ten seconds ready to help.  

She has her priorities straight.

Thepecking order of important things goes something like friends, family, andchurch. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
