Pokedates, a new online dating site is meant to help Pokemon Go players find one another romantically. How does Pokedates work, you ask?

According to the website, one begins by answering a few questions.

"Tell us about yourself and what you seek in a PokeMate," the site advises. "One of our specialists will review your PokeProfile."

Once a hopeful player's Pokeprofile is complete, he or she is instructed to share his or her play schedule.

"Let us know when you're free and we'll start searching for someone you can explore and battle with," the site explains.

By "battle," they mean the new couple can compel the cartoon creatures that are only visible on their smartphones to engage in combat with one another.

Once a suitable Pokecompanion (I made that conjunction up myself) is found, players will be digitally alerted.

"You'll get an email with details about your PokeMatch and a time and place to meet," the website stipulates. And! "Your first PokeDate is FREE."

"Just show up at the right place and time and you can catch 'em all together on your PokeDate!"

"Catch 'em all" is a catch phrase from the beyond-popular satellite-guided game in which players search the landscape for pastel cartoon creatures only visible on their smartphones.

Pokedates is a spin-off of the Project Fixup dating site.
