My fiancee and I are considering moving to Denver. ( or possibly Loveland) However, we are not certain if the city is accpeting of mixed couples. I am black and he is white. The area seems to be very liberal and it's beautiful, but I don't want to have to worry about people stoppig and staring and making comments because of our racial difference. We try to ignore it, but in some places we've visited it's so blatant it's hard to just ignore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think Denver is fairly tolerant. Especially if you live on the north side towards Boulder. Some people might post otherwise, but I moved here from the South and there is no comparison. I know there have been other posts recently asking the same question. Just search this forum and you should find some helpful answers. Good luck, you will love it here.

There are two interracial couples living on my street in Castle Rock, and my family has struck up a friendship with one of them. I'd have to ask them to be sure, but my impression is that they haven't had any issues.

Well I can speak from a native coloradoan's viewpoint and I am white and my boyfriend is black and older, we've been going to a lot of outside festivals this summer and never had any problems at all. In fact I have noticed a fair amount of interacial couples and families and I haven't seen or heard of any difficulties. I think it is more of an East coast or Southern problem due to the historical segregation issues they have had in the past. West coast is definitely more accepting of all types of people, but most of all tolerant of other's viewpoints. Welcome!
